Salary: £70k-£75k plus benefits including company car

Location: Three large locations - two in Essex and one in Northamptonshire

Role Description:

Our client, a leading provider of cleaning, security and soft facilities management solutions, is looking for an Operational Account Director to join their Team, responsible for three large locations in Essex and Northamptonshire comprising of a manufacturing centre, a large office and a distribution centre. As Operational Account Director, you will be responsible for service delivery, service enhancement, value, ESG and cost saving initiatives. Ideally the Operational Account Director will have experience in a similar role within manufacturing and distribution, and will be skilled in negotiation, meeting client needs and senior level reporting. Responsibilities:

  • Performance Management: Ensure contracts meet targets, resolve complaints and drive process improvements

  • Customer Experience: Enhance client satisfaction through proactive solutions, cost efficiency and innovative services

  • Commercial and Supply Chain Oversight: Manager suppliers, control costs and support compliant contract procurement

  • Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train and motivate teams while fostering growth and retention

  • Efficiency & Compliance: Drive cost savings, track contract milestone and ensure regulatory compliance, including Health & Safety

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role within Manufacturing and Distribution

  • An understanding of GMP Standards is beneficial

  • Skilled in negotiation, meeting client needs and senior-level reporting

  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, performance management and metrics

  • Proficient in MS Office and relevant industry software

  • Attention to detail

  • IOSH & NEBOSH desired but not essential

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, organisational and leadership skills
