Salary: £70k-£90k plus benefits (salary negotiable)

Job Status: Permanent/Full-Time

Location: Surrey - candidate will ideally live within an hour of the office. Two days in the office, three from home

Role Description:

Bridge Recruitment have been given an exciting opportunity to network for a Head of Bids to join the Team of one of our clients, an innovative Soft facilities company delivering high quality solutions for cleaning, grounds maintenance, and support services within the private and public sectors. Their expertise includes housing associations, education, leisure and commercial properties. As Head of Bids, you will be responsible for two Bid Managers and one Bid Administrator and will have between two and four bids at any one time. The ideal Head of Bids will have proven experience in a similar role, excellent organisation skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels. Responsibilities:

  • Manage the business approval process / approvals and the final production and proposal delivery arrangements

  • Ensure configuration control of key bid documentation and ensure effective communication

  • Responsible for ensuring quality content is being developed and produced from key contributors to the planned schedule

  • Develop and maintain the bid management plan and schedule, gaining understanding from the bid team and key stakeholders / management team

  • Manage any resubmission or clarification activities through to contract award

  • Prepare and train bid members, as required, in the bid process methods to ensure understanding and adherence to the process, practices and schedule

Requirements:

  • Excellent organisation and management skills

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the housing/public sector

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines and lead cross-functional teams effectively

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively

  • In-depth knowledge of bidding processes, procurement methodologies and contract negotiations

  • Strategic, analytical and methodical thinker

  • Mature understanding of market dynamics and client needs

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, bid management software and Adobe InDesign

  • Skilled writer and editor

  • Professional certifications such as APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) or similar are desirable

  • Ability to travel

  • Comprehensive understanding and experience in the management of the Bid Management process

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to manage to a challenging deadline
