Role Description:
Bridge Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant to join the Team of one of our clients, a young and dynamic business specialising in large format Print and Design. They pride themselves on their commitment to excellence and a team-oriented culture. Our client is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join the Finance team. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing accounting tasks and supporting the financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities:
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company, including daily transactions, income, expenses, and inventory
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, track payments, and manage accounts payable and receivable. Ensure timely payments to vendors and follow up on outstanding receivables
Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Payroll Processing: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis
Audit Support: Provide support during financial audits, including preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative duties related to finance, such as filing, data entry, and managing financial correspondence
Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role. Experience with specific accounting software, e.g., QuickBooks, Xero or sage is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Certifications: Certification in bookkeeping (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper designation) is a plus
